As a devoted senior and BFA candidate at the University of Michigan Penny w. Stamps School of Art & Design, I believe that art is a communication tool that bridges together people of all backgrounds, communities, and body abilities. My painting practice surrounds inquiries regarding how color, light, and form have the potential to influence space. I interrogate the 2D plane by obstructing organic and inorganic matter, synthesizing unrelated forms into networks of cohesive visual information. These complex networks of information serve as the result of my profound curiosity regarding the threshold between the real and fake. I engage in beauty as an act of resistance against tragedy, utilizing color as an agent of change.
